There's nothing like a comfortable bowl of spaghetti, especially during this uncomfortable time in the world. With this unfortunate quarantine, it can be a challenge having the entire family at home, along with trying to figure out dinner. If you're a mother, like myself, you appreciate meals that takes less time to prepare, without losing the flavor and aromatics. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do. :)
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1. Spaghetti- (1 box)
2. Turkey or beef kielbasa- (1 pack)
3. Spaghetti sauce- (24oz. jars/ 2 ea.)
4. White onion- (1 ea.)
5. Yellow bell pepper- (1ea.)
6. Ground turkey- (48oz. pack)
7. Olive oil- (for cooking)
8. Organic sugar- (4Tbsp)
9. All-purpose spice blend (from me) or:
- Mrs. dash, salt free garlic and herb seasoning
- Ground , smoked paprika
- Ground chili powder
- Parsley flakes
10. Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Prep: Slice onion, bell pepper and sausage. Set aside.2. Place a medium -sized skillet on medium heat; Coat with olive oil.
3. Add in sliced onion, bell pepper and sausage; Allow to cook for 10 minutes. Add in ground turkey and cook for another 10 minutes.
4.In a medium sauce pot, fill halfway with water; Bring to a boil.
5. Add spaghetti and cook for 8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
6. Add sugar and seasonings to spaghetti mixture; Add in spaghetti sauce.
7. Toss in spaghetti into mixture. Top with parmesan cheese.
