Now, I know I'm not the only person that enjoys a good piece of salmon. But, what's even better, is a sweet and spicy, flavored salmon! It's sweet, with a hint of Chipotle. Serves: 5-6 ppl
Ingredients:
Alaskan salmon- 1 fillet, cut into 5-6 (1/2" steaks)
Honey- 1/2 cup
Butter- 3 Tbsp
Lemon juice- 2 whole lemons
Salt + pepper- To taste
All Purpose Spice Blend- 1/4 cup
Sweet- Chipotle Spice Blend
Olive oil- 2Tbsp for salmon, 4Tbsp for searing
Directions:
1.Wash salmon thoroughly; Dry with paper towel. Separate the skin from salmon. (optional)
2. Cut salmon in 5-6 (medium sized) pieces. Season with all purpose, salt and pepper and add olive oil (2Tbsp). Rub thoroughly.
3. Place a medium skillet on medium-high heat, add olive oil, once ready. Sear a few pieces of salmon, at a time; Cook for 5-6 minutes on both sides. (Repeat)
For the Glaze:
Add remaining ingredients (honey, butter, lemon juice, sweet- chipotle spice blend) into a small saucepot, on medium heat. Cook for about 5-6 minutes.
4. Using a tablespoon, glaze the salmon with sweet- chipotle sauce. Enjoy!!
